Choose the organisation storage provider

Select the company-owned storage connection and root that will hold job documents, photos, artwork and generated files.

Best forOwner / Admin
Before you beginUse a representative record and confirm you have the permissions required for this area.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Storage and compare the supported provider choices with the organisation's ownership and access policy.
  2. Nominate a business-owned connection account and an approved root folder that will outlast an individual employee.
  3. Connect either Google Drive or Dropbox from its dedicated settings page.
  4. Run the available connection and root validation checks.
  5. Open a controlled job, upload a test document and photo, and confirm both can be opened under the approved root.
  6. Record the connected account, root, owner and recovery process before wider rollout.

Good practice

Changing the selected provider is a migration decision, not a cosmetic preference. Confirm how existing links and folders are handled before changing a live workspace.

When you are finishedA controlled job stores and opens a test file under the approved company root.

Before you begin

  • A business-owned Google Drive or Dropbox account is ready.
  • The organisation has decided who owns the root folder and retention policy.

Connected services shape where operational files and financial handoffs live; use company-owned accounts and test the complete path.

Screens show the synthetic BrightLine demonstration workspace. Your records, permissions and configuration will change the details you see.

If your workspace behaves differently, record the relevant job, client or record number and raise a support ticket so the team can investigate the exact context.
