Manage the product catalogue
Maintain purchased products, units, supplier references and cost evidence used by quoting, purchasing and job financials.
Step by step
- Open Settings → Product Catalogue and search before creating a new item.
- Use a stable business name, unit of measure, supplier reference and category that staff will recognise.
- Record current cost and selling context only from an approved source, preserving any cost-history behavior shown by the page.
- Deactivate or supersede obsolete items according to business policy instead of silently changing their meaning.
- Select the item in a controlled quote and purchase order, then confirm the description, unit and values flow as expected.
Good practice
Do not reuse an existing product code for a materially different item. Stable product identity is what makes cost history and job comparison useful.
Before you begin
- Product naming, units and supplier codes have an agreed owner.
- Current cost information is available from an approved source.

What you will see

Screens show the synthetic BrightLine demonstration workspace. Your records, permissions and configuration will change the details you see.
If your workspace behaves differently, record the relevant job, client or record number and raise a support ticket so the team can investigate the exact context.
