Generate and manage job documents
Create documents from approved templates, review the populated job data and keep the resulting file attached to the correct record.
Best forProject Management / Production · Owner / Admin · Installer / Field
Before you beginUse a representative record and confirm you have the permissions required for this area.
Step by step
- Open the job and check the client, site, contacts, dates, scope and other data the document will use.
- Select Documents, choose the approved template and generate the file.
- Open the result and review every populated field, table, date and section.
- Correct source job data or the owned template when the issue is repeatable, then regenerate as required.
- Keep the reviewed result attached to the job and make its status or purpose clear to the next person.
Good practice
Generated does not mean approved. Review the rendered output whenever it will guide production, go to a customer or be used on site.
When you are finishedThe generated document contains current information, has been reviewed and can be found from the job.
Before you begin
- The approved organisation template is current.
- The job fields used by the template are complete and correct.
