Import a quote calculator workbook

Bring the estimator’s structured workbook into the quote without re-keying the working detail.

Before you beginUse a representative record and confirm you have the permissions required for this area.

Step by step

  1. Open the quote builder and choose **Import Workbook**.
  2. Upload a compatible workbook containing **Quote Output** (or **Quote output WFM**), **Task Hours** (or **WFM - Task hours**), **Client Contact Details** (or **Client Contact Details WFM**) and **Purchasing** sheets.
  3. Select or confirm the client manually, then review the editable imported quote lines.
  4. Review imported hours in **Time Allocation**. The current release shows the purchasing-row count only, so check allowance values against the source workbook.
  5. Save the quote. Keep the source workbook separately; this release does not verify that the original file is retained with quote documents.

Good practice

Check every imported line and hour, and reconcile purchasing allowances against the source workbook before issuing the quote.

If your workspace behaves differently, record the relevant job, client or record number and raise a support ticket so the team can investigate the exact context.
