Step by step

  1. Open Leads from the sales workspace.
  2. Create or select the prospect and primary contact.
  3. Record the opportunity summary, value and next action.
  4. Update the stage when a meaningful sales event occurs.
  5. Convert won work into the quote or job workflow.

Good practice

A lead without a named next action will usually stall.

If your workspace behaves differently, record the relevant job, client or record number and raise a support ticket so the team can investigate the exact context.
