Create a job manually

Create work that did not begin from an accepted SignBas3 quote while preserving customer, scope, dates, ownership and commercial context.

Before you beginUse a representative record and confirm you have the permissions required for this area.

Step by step

  1. Open Jobs → New Job and select the correct client and contact.
  2. Enter a recognisable job name, approved description, dates, owner and status.
  3. Add the site, custom fields and other operating context required by the organisation.
  4. Save the job, then add tasks, documents, artwork, purchasing or jobsite requirements as applicable.
  5. Review the Overview and Financials tabs and make the commercial source clear when no SignBas3 quote is linked.

Good practice

Use manual job creation for an intentional exception, not as a shortcut around quoting. Record where the approved scope and value came from.

When you are finishedThe new job is identifiable, owned and ready for task, file, purchasing and financial work.

Before you begin

  • The client exists and the approved scope is available.
  • You have permission to create a job without a SignBas3 quote handover.
